Italia 13.98 offers endless possibilities. The synthesis of the elegance of its clean and powerful lines goes together with the precious care of the details in the interior to define a new level of luxury yachts. The classic and clean lines of Italia 13.98 win from the first glance. First of all, the entire deck is free of ropes, which appear only in proximity of the six winches. The mainsail traveler runs below the cockpit floor. The fifteen hatches and portlights are all flush deck. The deck is free from rigging, thanks to the innovative internal diagonal path and to the “inverted T” mainsheet solution. Moreover, the swimming ladder is hidden inside the removable teak covered sun-deck, the outdoor table is ready to use stowed in the locker at the centre of the cockpit, the furling system is below deck, halyards are collected under the hatch where the trap is hidden inside and finally the spray hood is integrated in the carter on the deck.

Italia 13.98 is a luxury cruiser yacht designed both for excellent performances during sailing, as to ensure the highest levels of comfort on board.
Fast and perfectly balanced, Italia13.98 is easy to handle with great control and safety, even by a small crew.
The ergonomics and lightness of manouvers allows a perfect trim of the sails. Large spaces in the cockpit, a comfortable flat deck, lots of storage spaces, the bright interiors finished in fine teak wood, make life aboard a pleasant experience of sophistication and elegance. Every model of Italia Yachts perfectly exemplifies the style of the brand. All you really need on a yacht is exactly where a sailor expects to find it. The development of the project is carefully followed by the project managers, all experienced sailors, who work together with yacht designers coordinating and harmonizing the choices for hull design, deck and sail plan. Italia Yachts boats are designed to sail well upwind in strong conditions, without sacrificing comfort. The waterlines, designed for excellent navigation performances, are drawn before everything else on the boat, and the interiors are developed later.
Hull and deck of Italia 13.98 are built in sandwich “E-glass” laminated with vinylester resins applied at a controlled temperature. Reinforced plates are inserted in correspondence of deck equipment, while the central strip of the hull is full laminated. All bulkheads are bonded to the hull and fixed with the internal structure and deck. This is superimposed to the hull, glued with structural adhesive and fixed internally.
Plates are included in the structure to increase resistance where the deck hardware is mounted. The collar of the mast is structural. The structural bulkheads of Italia 13.98 are made of marine plywood from 15 to 25 mm thick and are glued and gusseted to the hull and deck. The deck is glued and laminated to the hull. A polyester strap is provided to lift the boat (optional). Hull and deck are finished in gelcoat, walkable areas are prepared with antiskid from female mould. The careful study of waterlines, the excellent righting moment, with the “T” shaped keel, the sensitive and deep rudder blade: these are only some of the design aspects that together with the generous but not forced sail plan give to Italia 13.98 a best handling: fun, safe, not demanding but very effective. A perfect yacht for cruising, good for the race, versatile as its owner, just as in the Italia Yachts philosophy.
The ergonomics of the deck of Italia 13.98 has been studied in detail: the space in the cockpit is at the top of the class, the sunbathing area on roof is flat and smooth, five lockers provide plenty of space for storage during cruising with a deep sail locker
in the bow separated from the anchor locker. The double helm allows excellent control and a smooth ride towards the cockpit. The opening transom is perfect for a dry and safe navigation, as to enjoy an easy access to the sea. Particular attention was also given to obtain a clean deck: all maneuvers run below the deck. The trimming of all maneuvers is exemplary, both for a solitary sailing, with the mainsail winches that can easily be used by the helmsman, both in crew, even in race. The equipment is at the top level, with all winches oversized, rolling ball bearings blocks, a high performance mast, all the running rigging is made of technical fibers, the rod rigging and hydraulic backstay. All padeyes for the gennaker circuit are already fitted as standard, as well as the under deck jib furler.
The removable teak covered opening transom allows an easy access to the sea, even in navigation. The size of the benches in the cockpit allows even taller people to relax comfortably. The mainsail winches, located close to the steering wheels are easy turntable by the helmsman. At bow, separated from the anchor locker, a deep locker can contain all the sails.
Mast and rig
Italia 13.98 has a fractional double spreaders silver anodized aluminium mast including anchor light and steaming light. The alluminium boom has double line reefing and internal boom outhaul; the vang is telescopic. As optional, the mast and the boom are available also in carbon from different manufacturers.
The standing rod rigging is discontinuous with turnbukles. As standard the jib furler is under the deck. V1 chainplate is positioned on sheerline and D1 chainplate is placed on coach roof side for an easy forward-aft walkway.

Everyone knows the importance of storage spaces in a cruising boat. For this reason, we have designed countless drawers, cabinets, cupboards and shelves harmoniously integrated into the overall design of the interiors. In the dinette, in the galley, in the cabins: each activity has its dedicated space, and you would not necessary leave home something that you could need, even during a long distance cruising.
In the standard layout, with three cabins and two heads, the owner’s cabin is generously sized, very luminous and airy, with large storage spaces in side and under the bed. The cabin has a private headroom with separate shower box. The double bed is very comfortable and long 200 cm and there is also a wide wardrobe with shelve and hangers and two rows of hanging lokers. All mattresses are removable, the chairs and the dinette seat backs are in polyurethane foam, upholstered in washable cotton or leather finishes of various colors, to choose from a wide range of options.
In addition to the large spaces of the owner’s cabin, Italia 13.98 holds great surprises in the two aft cabins. Record-breaking heights, extra large beds, large storage space and a second headroom with shower: all you need to feel comfortable and pampered even the guests or the rest of the family.
Italia 13.98 has been designed to ensure performance and total control in navigation, in every moment, but it can also adapt itself to enable us to live the sea in all its diversity, into any condition, whether it is to sail fast, or moor at sunset to enjoy a dinner by the sea. You find six mooring cleats, a very efficient propeller, a powerful and reliable engine 55 hp, three high performance batteries, a 240 liter diesel tank and an impressive 480 liters of water tanks.
A powerful engine: engine and fuel tank
The boat is provided with a diesel engine of 55 hp with S-drive transmission and a two-blade folding propeller complete with single lever control. It is present an instrument panel which can display hour count and water temperature alarm and oil pressure alarm. Upon request is available tht 75 Hp Diesel engine version. The engine compartment is accessible frontally from the saloon and laterally from aft cabins. The whole compartment is clad by an insulating material to avoid noise and vibrations propagation.The fuel tank is in stainless steel and has a capacity of 240 lt including vent overflow, inlet on deck, emergency stop valve and indicator on main panel display.
12V Electric system
The 12V electric system supplies all electrical power utilities. All cables are suitable for nautical use according to CE regulations and are positioned in order to avoid contact with water. The electrical panel, housed near the chart table, contains all switches as for example: navigation light, electronical instruments, interior lighting, radio, VHF, etc. A 12V socket is provided at the chart table. One high efficiency 55Ah battery is dedicated to the engine and two 120Ah batteries provide energy for all the services. On request, it is possible to install also a third 120Ah battery for the services and to have the boat equipped with an electrical system highly configurable called “Can-Bus”
220V Electric system
The 220V system includes one 220V socket positioned in the cockpit for shore cable connection, a 50Ah battery charger with switch on panel, one 220V panel with safety circuit breaker and one 220V socket near the chart table.
Interior and navigation lights
The standard interior lightning is provided by 20 ceiling lights and 8 reading lights in the cabins. The chart table is provided with a reading light. All the navigation lights are LED.
